Thank you for choosing SEC Elevator. To give you a clear picture of the complete process from order to delivery, here is an overview of our elevator export procedure:
1. Export-Specific Packaging
Elevators are large, precision equipment. We use export-specific packaging:
Machine, control cabinet, and other components: Packed in wooden cases with shock-absorbing foam and moisture-proof film inside.
Long items such as guide rails: Bundled and secured.
Documentation: Packing list, certificate of conformity, and installation drawings are placed in a waterproof bag and stored inside the control cabinet.
2. Container Loading and Securing
Containers are selected based on equipment size and quantity: 20GP, 40GP, or 40HQ.
During loading, fastening belts are used to secure the equipment, preventing movement and collision during sea transit.
Heavy items are placed at the bottom, light items on top, with weight evenly distributed to avoid imbalance.
Photos are taken after loading for your verification.
3. Transportation
Main method: Sea freight. FCL is recommended. Transit time varies by route, typically 15-45 days.
Occasional air freight: For urgent spare parts or small batches, faster but more costly.
4. Customs Clearance and Delivery
Before arrival, we send Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, and other clearance documents to you or your freight forwarder.
Your designated freight forwarder handles customs clearance in the destination country, including duty payment and import permits.
After clearance, the forwarder arranges delivery to your designated address.
5. What We Need from You
Accurate consignee information and destination port.
Confirmation of import qualifications and certification requirements in your country (e.g., CE, SASO).
Your freight forwarder's contact details so we can coordinate loading and shipping schedules.
Advance notice if special documents such as Certificate of Origin are required.
